Our team
It takes a lot of people and passion to keep a home like Feline Care going.
We are so proud to work with and love cats alongside this wonderful bunch of people!
We have a small team of paid staff in our cattery:
Tanya started work at FC in July '21 and has worked her way up from Cattery Assistant to taking on the role of Cattery Manager in January '26.
Cattery Assistant Lily came to us in November '23 and works on adoptions with Ella and is also training to become our on-site behaviourist.
Ella's been a Cattery Assistant here since August '23 and also manages our adoption process to find forever homes for the cats in our care.
Ian came here in October '25 and works part-time as every cat's favourite person, because he feeds them their dinners in the evenings!
And a huge team of volunteers who care for our cats:
Speedway Lynda is (sometimes literally!) part of the furniture, she comes in 4 or 5 days a week to read stories to the cats and help clean their bedrooms.
Julie and her family are part of the heart and soul of FC, after volunteering for years, Julie has fostered hundreds of kittens and also runs 2 huge raffles annually.
Tabi has volunteered as cleaner and cuddler, helped at lots of open days and store collections and also makes catnip toys for our cats to play with.
Cathy volunteers with her daughter Lizzie and while Cathy works very hard cleaning, Lizzie gives her time to more nervous cats who need rehabilitation.
Mel has been part of the Feline Care family for over 15 years and regularly helps out at lots of fundraising events for the cats.
Millie works with our Treasurer on bookkeeping, Gift Aid claims and anything to help cats with data and spreadsheets!
Tania is one of our newer team members who is a regular cat cuddler. Never underestimate how vital cuddles are!
Ruth joined our team in '20, first as a store collector, then cuddler and she has also given a home to a special palliative care cat.
Carrie has volunteered since coming here to adopt in '11, helping with shop donations, open days, cuddling, cleaning, admin, home visits and more!
Terry is Carrie's husband and he also helps in the cattery, doing anything and everything but lots of site maintenance and work around the sanctuary grounds.
When our Diss Charity Shop closed, Rosemarie switched to our Attleborough shop and supporting our Sales Manager.
A true workhorse for the cats.
Lizzie is Cathy's daughter and she spends all her time here with cats. She has an amazingly calm presence that even our most nervous cats gravitate to.
Sarah cuddles and cleans every week and has done so much fundraising for the cats over the many years she's been here.
Angela is Sarah's mum and she also cleans and cuddles every week, she's also been our magic Xmas pud maker in aid of cats!
Karen does all sorts, all with a smile! Cuddling, crocheting items to sell, fundraising and lots of boring document scanning!
Sally is a very busy bee running our cats to and fro to their vet appointments. Also helping with fundraising.
Sandra balances working at a school and fundraising for FC, including her yummy baking!
Mae has been our Monday cat cuddler since 2024. Cats love her and she calls it her 'free therapy'.
Sharon works full-time doing nights, but still funds time to fundraise and transport cats.
Daisy has been with FC since 2025 as our Wednesday cat cuddler and takes fab photos.
Hannah was employed in our cattery part-time but when her business expanded she had to dedicate her time to that, but still comes to volunteer.
Emma is too humble and our longest serving volunteer, and one of the least likely to ever tell you how hard she works and how much she does for Feline Care.
Between working full-time, Denise manages to volunteer doing cat cuddling, fundraising and transport including weekly food collections from Jollyes!
Karen has been a volunteer for over 20 years! She stocks us up with hand cut squares of towel for cleaning and has helped with every job here over the decades!
Mandy cat cuddles every Sunday, giving lifts to other volunteers, and bakes for our Pop Up Shop every month.
Sal kindly brings Lynda with her for her regular Saturday cuddles and helps with fundraising and has held yard sales for FC.
Romina, our permanent friday cuddler. Romina also adopted Bandit from us who is now very content in her new home!
After lots of fundraising for us, Emma is now one of our adhoc cat cuddlers, helping out to cover last minute volunteer slots.
Gibbo helps along with his wife Diane. They have been helping permanently every other Wednesday morning.
Diane and husband Gibbo have been cuddling, tidying and doing odd jobs here since we helped them with a cat in 2016.
Laura has been cuddling on Fridays and Sundays since she started in 2025 and gives special time to our more nervous cats.
Blurb blurb
More of our paid team:
Lisa is our energetic Head of People and coordinates our growing team of staff and volunteers. She was finally employed by FC in February '25 after being involved as a volunteer and supporting us for many years.
Louise is our Sales Manager, making the most out of every item donated for the cats. Having run our, now closed, Diss shop since January '15, she now runs our Attleborough Charity Shop, eBay shop and monthly Pop Up Shops.
Lesley has worked part-time in our Attleborough Charity Shop since October '18. She's also been a big donor of cat food and even hired a big van for us to help move out of our Diss Shop during the covid horror.
Olly's hours are part-time but he works whatever hours the cats or charity needs. While his title is Groundsman, he spends a lot of time off site helping with feral cats and difficult cat cases and is always available when we or the cats need him!
And finally, our Board of Trustees:
Ciara joined as Chair in Jan '25 and has been instrumental to pushing the charity forward and supporting the big changes needed to keep us on track and cement our future. Keeping us in line during meetings is a task!
Julia found us through adoption and is now our numbers brain, our Treasurer, and has made huge changes to how we manage our money and financial admin since her appointment in January '25.
Ken is our former Chair and while he's currently reduced his responsibilities, he remains an important voice for the cats and our fountain of tech knowledge having managed our website for many years!
Before becoming our HR focused Trustee, Stef has supported, volunteered, been employed by, and even got married at FC, since first getting involved with us when she adopted stray girl Bonnie in May '12.
Zanna is newest to our board having only joined our team in October '25 but brings with her a wealth of professional experience in marketing and PR.
Molly is our Founding Trustee and is also employed part-time by the charity (at National Minimum Wage) because she gives her soul to the cats here!
